This blog may generate revenue in a variety of ways including: paid advertisements; affiliate programs; and direct sales of physical or electronic of products and/or services. Each of these could take the form of a graphic, text, video, audio or contextual link. This is how each one works:

Paid advertisements are from advertisers that may pay me a small commission for each ad shown on my site, or they may pay a small commission when you click on the ad regardless of whether or not you purchase any product. These ads may be served by an ad aggregator like Google, so I may not have control over specific ads that appear on my site. I will always make every effort to be transparent that something is an advertisement.

Affiliate programs are from companies that pay me a commission when I refer a customer to them who ends up purchasing a product. I do have control over which affiliate products I chose to make available to my readers. There are a lot of different affiliate programs out there, and I’m only interested in working with those companies and/or products that I have bought, am planning on buying or would seriously consider buying under the right circumstances. I will always make every effort to be transparent if something I am linking to is for an affiliate program. For example, this is a link to my go-to online shopping site, Amazon.com. What I love about Amazon is the breadth of their product offerings, their low prices, the level of trust that I have in them to take care of me as a customer, and the fact that my shipping and billing information is securely stored with them… making shopping for any product painless. I am an Amazon.com affiliate and will earn a small commission on anything you purchase from them as a result of clicking this link.

Direct sales includes products and/or services that I may directly sell to you, in which case it will be clear that I’m asking you to purchase from me.

How I won’t make money

I won’t sell your personal information. I won’t ever be untruthful to you about a product. I won’t ever try to sell you a product that I wouldn’t buy or wouldn’t consider buying myself under the right circumstances.

Please let me know your thoughts on my ‘Disclosure’ statement. I’d love to get your input!
